“Why bunnies?” at Easter, you may wonder? The answer:

The Easter Bunny {rabbit} comes from the hare, another ancient, pre-Christian symbol of fertility associated with spring. But it gets even more complicated than that. Anglo-Saxon mythology says Eostara {Easter} changed her pet bird into a rabbit to entertain a group of children, and the rabbit laid brightly colored eggs for them.

The chocolate bunny, like the chocolate Easter egg, is a much more recent idea, stemming from 18th and 19th-century middle European confectionery traditions, many of which were adopted in Britain.

Well Elisha… you were the start of my new year of wrapping up my years of capturing beautiful little children… Now that I am no longer shooting kids and family… it is almost a bit sad to be finishing up the sweet children that had appointments made prior to my announcement last year…. I really enjoyed these two the other day… You have two beautiful {and very smart} little girls… These shots are gorgeous! I cannot wait to see your framed portraits you took the the frame shop!!

Jennifer and her family are just about the easiest to work with…. Her little boy is so excited when he comes to see me and is always ready to strike a pose!! Teresa and Greg just amaze me how they do it all.. Both have full time jobs… three {sweet} kids, lots of dogs & horses and have a beautiful home and GORGEOUS property! Love the horses girl! So peaceful out there! This was fun… it was cool that we were able to use your home as the backdrop! So glad we finally got these done… I so have you on the books for when Olivia graduates! She is gorgeous… Hope your Christmas was Merry Merry!
